Orbitoproetus Moroccan TrilobiteDescription: Fine example of a member of the Order Proetida, Family Proetidae with many fine details present. This one is a member of the genus Orbitoproetus, a taxon known from both Morocco and the Czech Republic. Established by Alberti in 1967.The Proetidae were among the last of the trilobites to go extinct in the Permian over 100 million years later. This is a fine example of a genus I have not been able to offer before. See my other offerings for an example of the genus Pragoproetus.
