AntrimposDescription: Presented is a large and good quality specimen of Antrimpos speciosus.
Much of the carapace and body features have been skillfully preserved and curated by
a master German craftsman. It has good presence and resides comfortably on it’s large lithographic limestone plate. Note the specimen’s fine color and presence. The plate was cracked and repaired. Only the long flowing antennae are missing on this specimen.

This spectacular fossil comes from the lithographic limestone Solnhofen deposits of Germany. These 150 million year old deposits are famous for their exceptionally well-preserved organisms, the most famous of which are the handful of specimens of the ancient bird Archaeopteryx.
