Metacanthina Moroccan TrilobiteDescription: Elegant example of a member of the Order Phacopida, Subfamily Asteropyginae with many fine details present. Notice the fine eye facets on this specimen. The Asteropyginae recently have undergone revision. This one has been known variously as “Asteropyge” and as “Kayserops”. The rich dark brown exoskeleton is well-contrasted to the beige matrix block, and the cephalon has been prepared free of matrix.
