Ardrisiops weugi Moroccan TrilobiteDescription: This Phacopid trilobite comes from a new deposit in a location known as Jebel Oudriss in Morocco. The genus was described a few years ago to encompass a group of trilobites that colloquially were known as “Smiley Phacops”. The genus name is derived from the Latin word for smiling. It is a small example some half the size of the largest I have seen, but provides an excellent opportunity to obtain an example of this recently-described taxon.
