Rare Otarionella lkomalii Morocco TrilobiteFossil Description: Unusual example of a member of the Order Proetida, Family Aulacopleurida with a pair of thoracic spines. It is a member of the genus Otarionella. The derivation of the genus name comes from its similarity with Otarion, while the species was named after a Moroccan trilobite collector who was the source of the first example. Since its discovery nearly a decade ago it has been rarely available, with this one being only the second I have been able to offer. Note the coin in one photo; its 25 mm diameter shows just how small this trilobite is.
