Description: This is an unknown Odontopleurid trilobite whose closest affinities are with the genus Isoprusia. It comes from a new location known as Jorf in Morocco, close to the site from which the polished goniatite ammonites originate. The preservation of the exoskeleton is reminiscent of them in terms of texture, unlike many trilobites from Morocco. It has a “nub” of a central spine on the pygidium, so some may think it more likely a member of the genus Koneprusia. Whatever the case may be it is yet to be scientifically described, much like many of the trilobites coming from Jorf recently. Note the Calcite seam that passes through several of the spines.
