 Description:
Elegant example of a member of the Order Phacopida, Subfamily Asteropyginae
with many fine details present. Notice the fine eye facets present
on this specimen. The Asteropyginae recently have undergone revision.
This one has been known variously as “Asteropyge” and
as “Kayserops”. This one comes from the type location
for the species, and is far less often seen than Metacanthina issoumourensis
(see my other listings). |
