 Description:
This plaque houses a fine trilobite called Selenopeltis longispinus.
I am unsure whether the name is accurate as the ones typically termed
longispinus have somewhat different pleural spines.. In all likelihood
it is unnamed. In the past trilobites from Morocco were taken to Europe
where they often were assigned names of local species. For the sake
of argument let us call this one Selenopeltis aff longispinus until
such time as Moroccan trilobites can be sorted out. |
