Fossil ShrimpThis shrimp comes from the Pennsylvanian Manning Canyon Shale deposits of Utah. The shale is mined for brick clay in several regions, and is known for its fossil plants. Animal remains are far less frequently seen, and this well-articulated shrimp is quite rare. Notice the presence of antennae, legs, and the telson.
