Cambrian Explosion Fossils from Burgess Shale-Like Lagerstatte of Utah

The House Range Lagerstatte Fossil Lacalities

Formations in the House Range near Delta Utah can truly be considered America's Burgess Shale. The oldest Wheeler Formation lies beneath the Marjum Formation which, in turn, lies below the Weeks Formation; they are about 100, 300 and 300 meters thick, respectively. Together they span some 10 million years of deposition, representing the most fossiliferous middle Cambrian strta in the United States.
