Pseudoasaphinus tecticaudatus Rare Russian Trilobite Description: This is a specimen of the scarce Asaphid Russian Trilobite Psedasaphus tecticaudatus. The golden calcite contrasts well with the light limestone matrix, with the trilobite shown in a slightly reflexed position. Some researchers believe this is actually a species of Leningradites trilobite, and there are certainly some similar morphological characteristics.It certainly resembles that taxon quite closely, particularlythe genal spines.
