Amecephalus idahoensisDescription: This beautifully preserved Amecephalus idahoensis is normally associated with the Spence Shale. It’s a robust looking Ptychopariid. This one exhibits very well. It has thick black skin, is inflated and fully 3D. The prep work is excellent, most likely done by master curator Dave Comfort. The only flaw is a bit of minor slippage of the right free cheek. Specimens of this species are seldom available at this level of preservation, size, and aesthetics.
