Olenoides nevadensisDescription: A spectacular example of this rarely-offered spiny trilobite, this one is stunning. The Dorypygidae represent a sought-after family of trilobites from the western United States, with this one the most highly-prized of all. I have seen only a few offered over the past five years, and this one ranks very high in terms of its detail. Notice the axial spines which have been prepared with a small amount of matrix to protect them from damage. Very few ever seen have this feature preserved intact. This is a most exceptional specimen, one that will serve as a focal point of any collection, offered here at a most reasonable price.
