Aulacopleura TrilobitesDescription: A rarely-seen example of a member of the Order Proetida, Family Aulacopleuridae, this one is known as Aulacopleura beyrichi. While the genus is typically applied to Silurian trilobites of Europe, this one has also been placed in the same genus despite the disparity in appearance. This one has a slight disarticulation to the pygidium of the larger specimen. For an example of a fully-articulated example see my other offerings.
