Gravicalymene magnotuberculata TrilobiteDescription: Trilobites of the genus Gravicalymene have been previously assigned to Flexicalymene, Claymene and Stenocalymene. This species was first described in 1926 (the specific name refers to its pustulose exoskeleton), and since then has primarily been known only from fragmented specimens. The few fully-articulated specimens often command a high price . This one is somewhat enrolled and compressed, with some erosion to the right side of the cephalon. Nevertheless it is a fine example, one that is easily TWICE the size of any I have seen in the past.
