NorwoodiaDescription: This trilobite is a highly-prized specimen whose genus name fittingly means beautiful spine. It also has many similarities to another rare trilobite, “Gerospina schachti “, but that may be more a result of convergence than anything else. Whatever its affinities, it is a most rare trilobite, seen here in fine condition with NO RESTORATION. It is not known where the foreshortened axial spine was a peri-mortem or post-mortem event , but it would regardless be a wonderful inclusion to any trilobite collection, offered here at a most affordable price for such a rare specimen.
