Maurotarion christyi Description: This plate displays a fine example of a trilobite only rarely offered for sale known as Maurotarion chrisyi. This one is in ventral presentation, showing the hypostome (anchor for mouthparts) as well as the cephalic and pygidial doublures. The raised eyes typical of the genus can also be seen from below in this meticulously-prepared specimen. While there has been slight displacement of the pygidium, the dramtically-elongated genal spines are complete and tightly attached, making for a wonderful example of this unusual taxon, offered here at an eminently-affordable price.
