Armored Worm FossilDescription: Problematica is a dustbin into which many unusual animals have been placed over the years. The Machaeridians (Latin for bent dagger) are a strange group of worm-like animals that have defied taxonomic assignment by scientists for over 100 years. The group is found worldwide in deposits from the Lower Ordovician to Upper Carboniferous. This one was found and prepped by Bob Carroll in a prior year’s collecting season. It represents the ONLY example Bob had, and the ONLY the second one I have seen in 10 years at the Tucson show. If you are looking for the unusual, and the unique, look no further!.
