Cordania falcataDescription: Here is a nice trilobite: A member of the Order Proetida, Family Brachymetopidae from the Devonian Haragan Formation deposits of Coal County, Oklahoma. It is Cordania falcata, is quite 3-D in preservation, and displays well with the fine detail adding to the overall appeal. This one has a malformed left genal spine. Pathologies such as this are uncommon. I know of only one other specimen which, interestingly enough, also had a malformation of the left genal. It can be seen on Bob’s Black Cat Mountain website.
