Description:
A well-inflated example of a scarce Asaphid, this is Asaphus ornatus.
The species derives its name from the ornate terracing seen here.
The golden calcite exoskeleton is complemented by the white limestone
matrix, and is very 3-D in aspect. This species was the last surviving
