Gurvanella Fossil Plant Fruiting BodyDescription: The Yixian formation of China contains a panoply of exquisitely- preserved insects, vertebrates, and plants. This is the first example of a seed from a plant known as Gurvanella I have had. There is some debate as to whether this is an Angiosperm or Gymnosperm, but most researchers place it in the Gnetales, a group of gymnospermous plants. This is a fine example of the type, suitable for any collection of fossil plants.
