Description: The Yixian formation of China contains a panoply of exquisitely- preserved insects, vertebrates, and plants. This specimen shows a superbly-preserved fruiting body (I hesitate to call it a cone, but that may well be correct). I have NEVER seen an example like this offered before, and do not expect it to be available for long before it is snapped up by some astute collector.
