Otozamites feistmantelli Description: While the fronds seen here look they belong to a fern, they are actually a bennettitalian cycadeoidCycads known as Otozamites feistmantelli. Cycads were a common plant of the Jurassic; indeed, it is sometimes referred to as the Age of Cycads. They are still extant today, although a minor player on the plant stage, of which the “Sago Palm” (Cycas revoluta) is the best known.
